Translation of Marta's post:
I personally did not have the pleasure of seeing a lot of my uncle Chino (Maximino), the older brother of my father, because his family moved to Los Angeles. In 1944 when I was 15 my mother and I emigrated to the USA arriving at the home of my aunt Virginia Robinson [de Dumas]. So, for this reason, I speak about her a little more. Living there at that time was Anita Dumas, Locha [Dumas de Oroz, daughter of Virginia,] and her toddler son Alex. Virginia [Locha's sister] I knew little of, she was married and lived elsewhere very far away and I knew nothing about Los Angeles. Maximino [Locha's brother], sometimes came to [visit us in] Sonora and was then married to Grace. You John, I knew by name and knew you were my cousin. Ofelia [Locha's sister] I never met and would have loved to know. I know she has a daughter, Marta. When I went to Polytech High School [in Los Angeles] a teacher, when she saw that my last name was Dumas, asked if I was related to Ofelia Dumas. She spoke highly of [Ofelia] and said that she was a wonderful student. I told her that we were cousins.
