How to progress on finding our European Dumas roots:
1. Gather all the information that is known to the North American Julian Dumas descendants.
2. Hire a genealogist?
3. Find others in the same situation and find out what they have done. For instance: Other men came to Mexico with Pierre Julian Dumas. Can any of their descendants in Mexico be found today? If so can they be found and confer with us about our French roots?
4. Julian married Juana Uriarte.
....A. Can someone in the Uriarte family tell us anything?
....B. Are there church or municipal records in Guaymas or Culiacan?
5. Are there any photos or portraits of Pierre Julian Dumas?
6. Does anyone of his descendants possess any documentation referring to Pierre Julian or his wife Juana Uriarte?
