This blog is established to provide a means for all descendants of Pierre Julian Dumas to communicate with each other. These communications should be of a positive nature and can be about any subject including what our family members are currently doing but most especially about what stories have been passed down to us about our french ancestor and what has been done to date to discover Pierre's origins in France.
Pierre Julian Dumas arrived in Mexico as a French soldier in the 1860s. He married Juana Uriarte and resided in Guaymas Sonora. There they had three sons, Julian, Maximino and Cruz. To date there are more than 250 descendants from these three men living mostly in Mexico and the U.S.
It is the long term goal of this blog to discover our Dumas relatives in France. A secondary goal is to learn more about Pierre Julian and Juana's lives in Mexico including the possible discovery of written evidence of their activities. And a final objective is to get to know more about our fellow Pierre Julian Dumas descendants.
